The Park

The Natura Viva park in Bussolengo, located on the shores of Lake Garda in the province of Verona, is a modern zoo and an important center for the conservation of endangered species.

With its 42 hectares of woodland , the park is home to the largest Italian zoological collection within the EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquariums), with over 1,500 animals belonging to 250 different species.

Visiting the park, you can explore two areas: the Africa Safari, which can be explored by car , where you can experience the unique thrill of a true African safari and observe lions, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and many other animals up close. The Wildlife Park , which can be explored on foot through the forest, hosts several themed areas representing the ecosystems of the five continents. Here, you can admire animal species such as Siberian tigers, snow leopards, chimpanzees, vultures, and lemurs, many of which are endangered. Also not to be missed is the " House of Dragons ," a greenhouse housing giant and dwarf species from around the world, including the fascinating Komodo dragon, and the " Jurassic Adventure ," a journey back in time through 35 faithful reproductions of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, to relive the thrill of a lost era.

Research and conservation are among the primary goals of Natura Viva Park , which currently has 109 scientific publications and organizes and supports 35 conservation projects around the world. Outreach and environmental education are also crucial, with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of conservation, including discussions with biologists, educational activities, and the many themed events held in the park.
