Why you should buy your ticket on Bologna Bimbi.
Highlights
Palermo boasts numerous cultural and historical sites, including eight UNESCO sites. This small-group tour allows you to see the best attractions with a local snack. Over the course of three hours, you’ll visit the city center’s must-sees, exploring Baroque and Norman-Arab architecture.
You will see Piazza Pretoria, known as the Square of Shame, with its fountain and nude statues. Here is also the Palazzo Pretorio, the seat of the Town Hall. Built in the 14th century and renovated in the 19th, you may see the mayor.
Visit the Royal Palace, now the seat of the Regional Parliament, called the Norman Palace. After the arrival of the Normans in 1072, it became the royal residence. King Roger II added the Palatine Chapel in 1132, known for its golden mosaics.
Renowned for its beauty, the tour will also take you to the Church of Martorana, which you can admire from the outside. Finally, you will visit the Cathedral of Palermo, which combines styles ranging from Muslim to Norman to Christian.
